Over 60 members of the Eastern Ohio Development Alliance (EODA) met on July 19, 2024, at the Skyline Resort and Event Center overlooking Seneca Lake in Senecaville, OH. Many members continue to arrive early for the hour-long networking opportunity with their fellow members from the 18-county region. Ethan Zucal, Public Affairs and Safety Manager for the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) was the keynote speaker. His presentation provided a history of the 14 lakes and reservoirs and surrounding land developed for flood control that also provide recreational opportunities for the public. Included among the recreational activities are boating, fishing, swimming, camping, hiking, biking and so much more. For more information on the MWCD, visit www.mwcd.org. Diane Lautenschleger, Manager of Partnership Development for the Tuscarawas County Convention and Visitors Bureau provided in-depth information on the economic impact of tourism in the EODA region. She also provided information on economic impact of tourism in the Ohio Appalachian Region.

The meeting was followed by a picnic themed lunch that allowed members to continue to network. The next EODA meeting will be held in November 2024.
