EODA hosted a Legislative Forum and business meeting at the Salt Fork Lodge and Conference Center on October 26, 2018. Glenda Bumgarner, PhD, Senior Director of External Engagement for JobsOhio provided a Regional Impact report focusing on Branding and Lead Generation Strategies. Her colleague, Tyler Yaple, Government Affairs Manger for JobsOhio provided a Legislative Update. EODA Executive Director, Jim Schoch, announced a new addition to their sponsors – JobsOhio/Appalachian Partnership for Economic Growth. This joint sponsorship generously provides $5,000 to EODA to help further economic development efforts in the 16-county region. As a non-partisan organization, EODA also offered the opportunity for gubernatorial and U.S. Congressional candidates to address a series of questions related to economic development. Shawna Roberts, candidate for Ohio’s 6th Congressional District was in attendance to offer her responses and answer questions from the audience.
